The Hotel Phillips is a historic 217-room hotel located on 12th Street in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. It opened its doors in 1931. It is located close to the Kansas City Convention Center (approximately a ten minute walk). The Hotel is near the free Kansas City Trolley that runs north to the River Market and south to the Union Station. Many top attractions including the Sprint Center, Kauffman Center, Midland Theatre, and the Power & Light District are close by.
The Hotel Phillips has elegantly decorated rooms, complimentary wireless internet, luxurious bedding, in-room safe for storing valuables, a gourmet restaurant, bar, and coffee shop. Additionally, it has a fitness center and an indoor lap pool. This site was formerly occupied by the Glennon Hotel, where Harry S. Truman operated a haberdashery shop before he became President.
