Liz Rooks is our 67th NSDC Program Chairman and calls Sedalia, Missouri home. In 1982, when taking their son to Philmont Scout Ranch, they participated in an activity called square dancing. This sparked their interest so upon returning home they signed up for lessons. After dancing for five years, life became busy and they stopped dancing. Then 15 years ago, Liz returned to the square dance world where she learned Plus, Lines, and the male position.
Her home club is the Diamond B's in Sedalia, Missouri. Liz also enjoys dancing with the Ozark Whirlers located in Eldon, Missouri. Presently she is serving as the district president for the West Central District in Missouri.
