In 1999 Steve and Adyline Christensen, Kearney, Missouri, were the lucky winners of a free square dance lesson raffle; thus they began their square dance adventure. After mastering mainstream, they continued on to the Plus Program level. Steve and Adyline enjoy the music, exercise, and fellowship of other dancers.
The Christensens are members of the Rambler Square Dance Club, where they have served as club officers. In addition, Steve and Adyline have enjoyed attending five previous national square dance conventions as well as many Missouri State Festivals.
Steve was employed by Farmland Industries for 37 years in various accounting positions and most recently retired from Vocational Services, Inc. Adyline retired from real estate sales after 30 years in the industry. Presently, they own a storage facility.
In their spare time, Adyline plays the organ at church bi-monthly, sewing (a couple of wedding gowns for their daughters and helping on a granddaughter's gown), and Steve stays busy with mowing their acreage as well as feeding the horses. They are the parents of three daughters and have eight grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 22.
After the 67th NSDC is over in 2018, Steve and Adyline are looking forward to traveling to their favorite spots: Branson,
Missouri and Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
